Hamadan is a city in the western part of Iran, and is one of the worlds oldest cities. It is a rug trading center for carpets made from the many nearby villages. Some of the villages have created distinct patterns and are sold under their own names, such as Lilihan, Malayer, or Hosseinabad.

This runner has a subtle but mesmerizingly compex pattern that can be described as geometrically floral. The color palette is composed of only browns, making it a neutral rug that will go with anything.

Wool rugs last for a very long time with proper care. Please research further before doing anything drastic to your rug.
