This piece is a lovely example of how Greek Mythology permeates everything. This is a William Kerr designed cigarette case showing a repousse Bacchanal scene with Pan and a few nymphs. Pan and his nymphs were always just wanting to have fun. The scene is surrounded by a Rococo-style border that adds that extra touch of elegance. This case is made of sterling silver (stamped STERLING on one of the holders) and is 3.4 ouces. It is a modest 3.5 inches tall. This case closes with a snap and opens just as easily. It is not in perfect condition, however, as the spring is missing a coil and so the holders do not hold. The item is also monogrammed on the obverse. It is obviously hand engraved.

This is not a new item and therefore it is not new-in-box condition. It is, however, in excellent condition as evidenced by the photographs.

Shipping is approximate and excess charges, if any, will be refunded. Shipping will also be combined as much as possible (including with items from our sister store StandpipeAntiques). Check FAQs for more information.
