Woodbury is a well known manufacturer of pewter products. They have been in operation since 1952 and trademarked the stamp on the bottom of this tankard in 1971. Even today, their pewter mugs are some of the best quality you can get. This handle is no longer on manufacture. It is an english tankard style and will fit right in to a mancave ideal of simplicity and bold lines. Or, honestly, in a womancave for the same reason. I like the simple and bold lines, myself.

I guesstimate this to have been manufactured between 1970 and 2000. It is not mint, but so close as to be julep. The pictures show how beautiful the finish is and how much care was put into it. And it still has the tag booklet that came with it! Woodbury also does not use lead in their pewter. It is 92% Tin, 6% Antimony & 2% Copper. This mug is perfectly food safe. Just don't cook or store food in it.

Shipping is approximate and excess charges, if any, will be refunded. Shipping will also be combined as much as possible (including with items from our sister store Troughandtrowel). Check FAQs for more information.
